Adam asked Jess to marry him while they were in Eagle River for his family reunion. Jess, Adam and his daughter Jada took the boat out for a cruise before sunset. Adam stopped the boat in the middle of the lake and had this little smirk on his face. Jess and Adam had always joked that they would run off to the Caribbean and come back engaged. When he asked her for her hand in marriage he said “I know this isn’t your kind of Caribbean, but this is my kind of Caribbean.” As he pulled the ring out of his back pocket, Jada grabbed flowers from the back of the boat. Jada asked her to be her step mommy, and on that day the three of them decided on forever. LOVE that. So sweet.
All five of us traveled to Door County for the most picturesque back drop. I love that Lake Michigan pulled gorgeous hues of teals and blues that resembled deep water in the Caribbean. The vast water, jagged cliffs and sandy beach were the most lovely locations to explore and capture this sweet, sweet family. We are so excited for your wedding next fall.
