Newborn lifestyle sessions sit high on my favorite types of sessions to capture. It allows families the opportunity to stay in their home with access to everything they may need. These sessions allow toddlers to feel comfortable with me because they are in the comfort of their own home. When you’re in your home, you’re without the stress of getting out the door in time to get to your session. I bring my camera, and you relax in your home and we create some magical, fleeting moments with your new sweet baby.
Enter the Ganshirt Family. They invited me into their home on a sunny spring day where I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this beautiful family of four in their perfectly decorated home in Milwaukee. When I walked into their home I was immediately greeted by big brother Baylor and their adorable pup, Finley. We toured their charming home and decided on a few locations for the photos and I was in heaven capturing their adorable family.
Haven was a total doll and loved snuggling close to her mama. While I always adore those sleepy newborns, there is something so sweet about capturing the wonder in a newborn’s eyes. She gave me a few bright eyes and they are the cutest!!! We used their woven bassinet and Baylor enjoyed peeking over the side to check on sissy. There may or may not have been a few Lucky Charms used in the making of those photos!! When I left their home Baylor waved out the window of his living room and my heart may have melted!
I’ve connected with mama, Jaclyn, for the last several months over our similar interest in toddler and baby style, so I knew they were going to be styled perfectly for their session, and they were!! Mama’s take note, neutrals photograph SO nicely together! Ganshirt family, you are all precious and I am so thankful for our time together!
Without further ado, meet Haven James 🎀
