Bridget and Keith’s wedding in November was our final wedding of the year, and we couldn’t have dreamed of a better way to close out our 2019 wedding season. Their day was beautiful in every way, from the iconic Milwaukee destinations to the gorgeous couple themselves. Guys, this wedding is seriously the definition of classic, timeless and elegant, and you’re about to find out why.

The Pfister is the best known hotel in Milwaukee for a reason, and when you walk into the lobby all of the ornate details just radiate elegance. This classic and elegant feel extends to the guest rooms at the Pfister and really came through in our detail shots and the photos of Bridget and Keith as they prepared themselves for the day. Our bride and groom held their reception in one of the Pfister’s beautiful ballrooms, decorated with gorgeous chandeliers and bordered by tall windows looking out at downtown Milwaukee. The Pfister is one of those wedding venues that speaks for itself, but their floral centerpieces by Jane Kelly Floral really punctuated an already amazing reception space.

Bridget and Keith became Mr. and Mrs. Sierra at Gesu Church on the Marquette University campus. Once again, another classic Milwaukee destination that seriously speaks for itself. Upon stepping into the church we were in complete awe! The amazing stonework and the beautiful stained glass highlight this gorgeous cathedral. Marquette students are spoiled to have such a nice place of worship on their campus. Bridget and Keith actually met at Memorial Library while attending Marquette University, which made Gesu an even more special ceremony location for them!

Speaking of the amazing couple, let’s talk a bit about Bridget and Keith! Bridget looked absolutely STUNNING in her dress, and was the absolute sweetest bride! Keith was the iconic, handsome, timeless groom (see his groom shots below and you’ll completely agree). Between the ceremony and reception, we took a walk around Marquette’s campus and photographed their bridal portraits near the St. Joan of Arc chapel. The cold November weather didn’t scare these two! They were down for anything, braving the cold so we could create some beautiful photos for them to look back on and show their children years from now. Bridget and Keith were such a joy to photograph – we couldn’t ask for more perfect subjects. From getting to know them a bit during their engagement shoot, we knew these two were a pretty laid back couple, and that absolutely held true on their wedding day. They seemed to have not a care in the world and wore smiles on their faces all day! We think a big part of this (future couples take note!) was that their day was planned so well that they didn’t feel rushed and could really take it all in! The team at Weddings With a Twist did an excellent job coordinating the day and making sure everything went smoothly!

This might seem weird to y’all but perhaps our favorite moment of the whole day came after our portraits and before the reception began. It’s something we’ve never seen happen at a wedding before, and we thought it was just so cool and fun. Bridget and Keith were going to run up to their room to drop some things off and they invited us to tag along. Upon walking through the door the bride and groom were greeted with cheers. Their whole bridal party was there partying! They had drinks and snacks and played flip cup, and it was just so much fun! We thought it was really cool that the whole bridal party, especially the Mr. and Mrs., had time to unwind a bit before going back to their wedding day festivities, and we totally think more couples should consider building this time into their day if possible!

Bridget and Keith had the most amazing day, and we know it’s one we’ll be looking back on and talking about for quite some time. Thank you two for trusting us to capture your day in photos. It was a true honor to be part of your day one as a married couple. We had just as much fun as all of your guests, and it has been a pleasure getting to know you!
