Painting the Picture

I’m not even sure where to begin with this adorable newborn session with the Kibar family. When I arrived at their home I instantly felt welcomed by their dog Willow, and then their first born, Sawyer. Just to paint the full picture, the Kibar home is set on a beautifully wooded lot at the end of their neighborhood. My mind immediately started imagining how wonderful those woods would be for their now two sons to grow up exploring. Mama (Abby) and I chatted about how they plan to create walking trails in their backyard and they imagine their boys building forts and letting their creativity run wild. While I had only just met the Kibar family, it was so evident how genuine they are and I could instantly get a glimpse into their future and how magical their land will be for their sweet boys, Sawyer and Parker. At one point during the session, I had motioned for Sawyer to join Abby and baby Parker on the bed, stating that we should get a few shots of just her and the boys. Dad, Cory, quickly stated how wild that was to hear, TWO boys! What a special moment to witness!

Precious Moments

Over the past several years, I have really began honing my art of photography to fully capture small, precious and fleeting moments during newborn sessions. I know what makes a beautiful composition, but even more than that I know exactly what it’s like to be a mama and how I want to remember those moments of snuggling my newborn. I love a perfectly posed photo where everyone is smiling, but I adore those in between moments when everyone is engaged and loving on one another. Mamas, I know you can relate when you look at your camera roll on your phone and it is flooded with photos of your babies and your partner with your babies, but it’s rare to have those candid moments of YOU in those photos. Newborn sessions are the absolute perfect opportunity to capture those for you. During this session, I took some of my favorite photos of this stunning mama, and her newest babe. They are not posed, just a mama admiring ten tiny fingers and ten tiny toes. Those moments are simply irreplaceable in my mind and I truly get emotional looking at them.

Welcome Littlest One

Adding a newborn into your family is life-changing, transformative and spectacular. When you have a second child all of that happens again, except this time you’ll wonder how your firstborn will adjust. Sawyer was way too cute during his baby brother’s session. Although a bit timid at first, he sure knew how to work the camera. He held Parker and gave him kisses. Toward the end of the session he even gave the ultimate stamp of approval that a two year old could possibly give, a thumbs up! I am beyond excited to share this newborn session with you. Kibar Family, you are unmatched. Congratulations on your newest babe! Welcome to the world, Parker!!
