Spring Newborn Session

On a snowy spring day, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kevin Joseph (KJ) in their stunning Brookfield home. Ryan and I have had the opportunity to photograph Bridget and Keith’s engagement session and beautiful Pfister wedding. (Read their wedding blog HERE!) So you can imagine how getting an email asking us to document their first days of parents was an absolute dream come true!

Dreamy Session

KJ was only 9 days new and wildly alert for his session, unless he was snuggled up on his mama’s chest. We photographed in a number of rooms. Each room provided slightly different lighting and backdrops and I loved the variety we were able to provide for them. When we first began their in home newborn session, we started in Keith and Bridget’s master suite. They wore their jammies for some super cozy photos snuggled up with KJ, and I have to say, they are some of my absolute favorites!!! Because, let’s be real, those newborn days are spent in lots of jammies for everyone!

The Nursery

These two chose to wait until birth to find out if they were having a boy or girl, so they planned a gender neutral nursery, and it is incredible! Just wait until you scroll down to see it! From the amazing jungle wallpaper, to the darling animal mobile, everything was perfect. KJ is going to have an incredible room to grow up in and let his imagination roam wild.

The Home

When mom+dad changed into a different outfit, we moved downstairs and took advantage of their beautifully furnished living room and impeccable kitchen. The thing about in home newborn sessions is that I am always challenged in different ways. Whether its the lighting, surroundings, pets or furniture, I just never know what I’m going to walk into until I am there, but I love that so much! As a Milwaukee Newborn Photographer, getting invited into your home is a true privilege and one that I will always feel so honored to call my job.

Magical Moments

Bridget, Keith and KJ, I am so in love with your newborn session and truly cherished the time we spent together. I am beyond excited to watch your sweet family continue to grow and experience the magic of parenthood. Mom + Dad look good on you two, and the pride that comes through on these photos is so evident.
