All lifestyle newborn sessions fill my heart to capacity, but when it’s your best friend’s babe, you leave that session overflowing with wonder, joy and the utmost love. The last two years have been filled with more phone dates with this sweet boy’s mama rather than spending time side by side, so getting the precious time to be in their home was the absolute greatest gift. Moments after walking through their front door with *homemade* milk and cookies, baby Clay was placed in my arms and I was smitten. Big sis Avery was so proud holding her little brother and I am so excited to watch their bond grow over the days, months and years to come. Clay was an absolute angel for his entire session and clearly loved being snuggled up tightly-safe in his mommy and daddy’s arms.

It’s the little whimpers and stretches, the soft skin, the sleepy eyes working hard to stay open. It’s the palpable love exploding in the air as this once family of three settles in as four. It’s an indescribable feeling having the privilege to capture these raw, fresh and fleeting moments for growing families. I will never take that for granted.
