Cameron and Michelle decided that marriage was the perfect way to ring in the new year. (And we couldn’t agree more!!) These two, along with their families, planned the most gorgeous NYE wedding. Ryan and I were in awe of the entire day, from the moment we entered St. Mary Church until we hugged them goodnight at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts. Michelle was truly a vision, and every detail about the day made me fall head-over-heels for winter weddings.

There were so many sweet moments that stood out to me on their wedding day, but I think my favorite was Cam & Michelle’s first look. Cam was at the top of the stairs of the church and Michelle slowly walked up the staircase to meet her groom at the top. When Michelle tapped on Cam’s shoulder, his reaction was what every bride dreams of on her wedding day. It was literally the sweetest reaction we’ve witnessed and it was so evident in that moment how much Cam completely and utterly adores Michelle. Moments so intimate and sincere are what we live for on a wedding day. The second moment that stuck out was the moment the large doors at the back of the church opened up and Michelle began the walk down the aisle towards Cameron. I kept a close eye on Cam and his many emotions will just make your heart melt. When the organ changed to the processional for Michelle, I have to admit, my eyes were welling up and goosebumps rose. There is nothing more moving than watching a beautiful bride take the most important walk of her life to meet the love of her life. The third moment that had me feeling all sorts of feels was their first dance. I’ve never seen a couple so comfortable in the spotlight. Cam twirled Michelle around and they moved all around the dance floor. They had fun, you guys, and it was such a telling moment for all of their guests that this is a love that is going to last. A love story that started in Scotland and found its way back to Wisconsin. (Read their engagement story here!)

We took all of the formal portraits at the Oshkosh Museum where Cam’s parents got married! (We love the sentiment!!) Cam & Michelle’s wedding was the icing on our 2016 cake, and we couldn’t have imagined spending the night anywhere else. Cheers to 2017 and the glowing newlyweds, Mr & Mrs McFarland!
