We had the pleasure of meeting Megan and Nick a few months ago at a local Starbucks. We chatted all about their wedding plans and how they envisioned their day. It was clear to both of them that they were excited to celebrate with their friends and family and that they recognized the importance of capturing sweet candid moments throughout their entire day. Nick and Megan grew up down the street from each other, even attended the same school from kindergarten through high school. It wasn’t until after they returned home from college that these two began dating & the rest is history.

As we began their session, the sun popped out from what was an extremely overcast day. The fall colors made a show-stopping appearance, and these two brought their A-game! We hiked around Minkooka Park with their dog, Deacon, and made some beautiful portraits. Deacon played a rather important role in their love story so it seemed fitting that he was included too! Megan told me about the proposal; “We were going to take him on a trail in the woods behind Nick’s parents’ house. When Nick, Deacon and I started down the hill to the woods, Nick said “did you see I finally got Deacon a name tag?”. He called Deacon over so I could look at his new name tag and when I bent down to look at it one side was engraved with my name and the other side with “Will You Marry Me?” I turned around and Nick was down on one knee with the ring in his hand.” How amazingly cute is this? LOVE IT!! These two have a playful love that was so fun to capture, and it was clear that Nick had a way of making his soon-to-be wife smile from ear to ear. Congratulations you two, we cannot wait to be a part of your wedding day!
